There are so many reasons to love Kate Middleton (don’t worry, we won’t list them all here—that would take most of the afternoon), but maybe one of our favorite things about the Duchess of Cambridge is that she isn’t above repeating an outfit. In fact, Kate loves to get plenty of mileage out of her wardrobe. Case in point: the red skirt-suit by Italian designer Luisa Spagnoli she wore during her visit to Christchurch, New Zealand in 2014. Kate also wore this look back in 2011 during a trip with William to their alma mater, St. Andrews. She also LOVES her navy Zara blazer.
Most recently Kates wore her cornflower blue Catherine Walker coat-dress, worn in Berlin last year, at her bff’s wedding over the weekend. She styled it this time with a new matching floral headpiece by Jane Taylor. Like last time, she wore her Kiki McDonough earrings and matching necklace, along with the same blue lace dress underneath.
Even though she lives at a royal residence and has her own personal dressmaker, the Duchess of Cambridge isn’t above wearing the same outfit twice. In fact the thrifty style icon has become renowned for recycling outfits for numerous occasions. Although Kate often wears the same outfit several times she always reinvents the ensemble with different jewellery, hair and shoes – this is a great trick that all women can take on when refreshing old items.
