Last week The Sun broke the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to move away from Kate Middleton and Prince William in Kensington Palace and London and will move to live in Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage. A royal source suggested that there was “a bit of tension” between Harry and his brother Prince William which helped the decision to be made.
Richard Palmer, the Express’s royal correspondent, wrote on Twitter that the real reason has a lot to do with “Harry and Meghan spreading their wings. No big fallout but Kate and Meghan not close. No royal properties available in London apparently.”
Meghana and Harry married this May and announced in October that they’re expecting their first child, so naturally, they wanted to move into a bigger place to raise their growing family.
The Palace announced the move in a press release: “The couple has lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate.”

“The property does not have a gym or a yoga studio, but Harry and Meghan are planning to build an all-purpose space for gym and personal training use,” the insider reveals. “Meghan loves her yoga and is her avid workout, so the fact that she has a place to practice privately is something she really wanted,” the source adds
“While they’re really hoping to be moved into Frogmore in time for the birth, they’re also realistic … With the kind of delays these projects face and the limited amount of time they have, they’re mentally prepared to not be in the new house until autumn 2019.”
The source told US Weekly that their decision of moving proves that the Duke and the Duchess really want to raise their children out of the public eye. “They want their children to grow up in as normal an environment as possible,” the insider explains, adding that the couple plan to build a wall between the cottage and the public areas of Frogmore. “It was actually Princess Eugenie who convinced them to make the decision, as she had such a wonderful, peaceful childhood on the grounds of Windsor.”
