The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting darker and longer and, sadly it’s getting colder! Well, have no fear! I am here to guide you and show you how to look great for fall. Now that temperatures fluctuate greatly during the fall, the best way to manage the cool mornings and hot afternoons is by wearing layers, which you can take off as the day grows warmer.

Layer your t-shirt! If you live in a place that gets cooler weather during fall, consider wearing some short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirts; these can be worn under cardigans, or under a cool blazer. You may also wear turtlenecks and button-up shirts and blouses.

Fall is the time to put away your wedges and sandals. Instead, wear elegant pumps, sneakers, and boots.

If you like wearing skirts consider layering them with tights for a chic, fashionable look.

Accessories such as scarves, hats, and gloves not only keep you warm, but they are also easy to put away for when the day gets warm.

You want something that can keep you warm, so choose the right fabrics. Avoid linen, silk, and light cotton. Not only are they too light for fall, but they are also often associated with warmer weather. Aim for Leather, suede, and leather or imitation leather, flannel, felt, and wool, denim, corduroy, and chambray, cotton and lace.

Get a chic outerwear. Just because the weather gets a bit chillier does not mean that you have to put your favorite silk blouse and palazzo pants away. You can still keep warm while wearing your favorite blouse by pairing it with a chic, fitted suit jacket or light coat.
