Priyanka Chopra has changed her Instagram name now that she is officially married to Nick Jonas. Chopra’s name on social media is now Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Unlike Hailey Baldwin, who completely changed her name to Mrs. Bieber, Priyanka is more following Kim Kardashian West route and kept her maiden name too.
Priyanka gave her first post-wedding interview today for India’s NDTV. “My work and Nick’s work are very important to us,” she started. She explained that she committed to yesterday’s Bumble event before she set her wedding date. “My commitments matter to me a lot. My word is my bond. And we had decided to do this a long time ago before anyone was getting married and so I stuck to my commitment.”
She admitted that she and Nick still haven’t picked a place where they would go on their honeymoon, as they are putting that on hold and more focusing on work and the projects they are passionate about. “Right now, I have just work commitments this whole month with shooting and doing a lot of work with Bumble and a few other ad commitments that I have. And I don’t know. We still haven’t figured out where. I think it’s going to be a surprise though. I think that’s what my husband’s planning.”
Priyanka famously married the love of her life, Nick in two lavish wedding ceremonies over the weekend. She wore a custom-made hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot long trail during the Christian wedding, while Nick opted for a black suit by the same designer. Inside of the purple lapel of the tuxedo, he added a small piece of lace from the bride’s dress embroidered with the Urdu words “My Jaan” which translates to “My Life”.
For the Hindu wedding, Priyanka wore a red sari, while Nick was dressed in a traditional outfit and turban. The bride looked stunning in a Sabyasachi ensemble.
