The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive Leicester City today to pay respect to the city after a tragic helicopter crash there last month. The couple carried two engagements – one at the city’s stadium, one at its university. During the engagement, the Duke and the Duchess showed some rare PDA moments. They were seen holding hands, laughing and sweetly reaching for each other’s touch, while they were talking to the crowds.
Kate talked to some of the people, who were gathered there to greet them. She shared her excitement for Meghan Markle and her new baby when a woman asked her about it. “Yeah, absolutely, [I’m excited for Meghan and her new baby],” Kate said. “It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well as Louis so it’ll be really special.”
The Duke and Duchess also signed a book of condolences, with William writing: “Our thoughts and prayers with everyone at Leicester Football Club.” pic.twitter.com/20Ogs1wksx
