Kate and William will reportedly spend the holiday away from Meghan and Harry. The Mail on Sunday, reports that William and Kate have opted to spend Christmas with the Middleton family, while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk with Queen Elizabeth II.

Last year the two royal couples have come together to celebrate with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles.

It was reported last week that during last year’s holiday season Prince Harry and Prince William had a ‘bit of a fallout’ over Meghan. Now new reports show that not everyone was as keen to embrace Meghan as quickly as Harry wanted them to.

A mutual friend of the princes told Katie Nicholl that Harry was very, very upset that William wasn’t going out of his way to welcome Meghan into the family. “Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so,” the source said. “They had a bit of a fallout, which was only resolved when [their dad Prince] Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort. That’s when the Cambridges invited the Sussexes to spend Christmas with them.”

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, has been invited to spend Christmas 2018 with Queen Elizabeth II—an honor that Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, has never received.

Last week The Sun broke the news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to move away from Kate Middleton and Prince William in Kensington Palace and London and will go to live in Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage. A royal source suggested that there was “a bit of tension” between Harry and his brother Prince William which helped the decision to be made. More sources have spoken saying that the relationship between Kate and Meghan was not the biggest reason the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex to move to the countryside. It was more Meghan and Harry’s desire for privacy for their family.

Now The Sun reports that there was another awkward situation between the two Duchesses. Sources shared with the publication, claiming that Kate told Meghan not to berate members of her team at Kensington Palace.

This comes a week after reports were released that the Duchess of Sussex made Kate cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress before the royal wedding in May.

Kate, reportedly told the former actress: “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them.” The source added that: “She and Kate fell out when she b******ed Kate’s staff.”

“It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach.”

A royal source explained: “Meghan has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment.”
