After some time of speculations and exactly five months since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married in May, the couple has officially announced that they are expecting their first child together! After an already exciting weekend for the royal family, with Princess Eugenie’s wedding at Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace revealed the happy news on social media. “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.
The mom-to-be made her first appearance in Sydney with husband Prince Harry for a welcome ceremony at Admiralty House. Australia’s Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife gifted the couple with a few gifts honoring the host country. They were gifted a stuffed animal with a bay kangaroo to which Markle said, “Our first baby gifts!”
This is Meghan’s first public appearance since she and Harry announced that they are expecting their first child earlier this morning. She wore a white dress by Australian designer Karen Gee and paired the look with classic nude pumps.
The #RoyalTour begins! Proud parents-to-be Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have made their first appearance since last night’s #RoyalBaby news, attending a welcome ceremony hosted by Australia’s Governor General and Lady Cosgrave at Admiralty House.
