The Duchess of Sussex is pregnant with her first child and she is due in Spring 2019, but so far Meghan is showing no signs of slowing down, in fact, she is busier than ever!
Vanity Fair reports that she is even “expected to announce a collaboration with at least one more charity by the end of the year.” Meghan recently “told aides she wants to work as close to her due date next spring as possible.”
According to a report from The Daily Mail, the Palace’s staff has been overwhelmed by the Duchess’ hectic schedule and busy way of life. “It is said palace staff has never experienced anything remotely like Meghan’s formidable work ethic, matched only by the incessant stream of ideas about how to shape her role.”
After just six months, the American actress is already turning the royals’ life upside down. The Daily Mail reports that Meghan is determined to do things her way from the moment she bounces out of bed at 5 am, she has proved to be less of a breath of fresh air and more of a whirlwind. The new Duchess is turning upside down the rulebooks on everything from fashion to friendships, diplomacy to the etiquette of car doors, as she shuts her own.
As Meghan approaches her due date, people are wondering whether she will be taking a maternity leave. If she follows Kate Middleton’s steps, she will take some time off before and after the baby is born. There aren’t any specific Royal rules when it comes to how long should she be away from the public eye, so it is up to Meghan to decide. She is, though, expected to step away from some engagements next year. Whatever she decides, we know that she will not follow anyone’s steps and will do things her way, while being 100% supported by her husband Harry.
An insider told Closer UK: “If Meghan has any requests, they’ll be met. And Harry has already shown how protective he is of her. If he wants to be by Meghan’s side after the baby is born, throughout her whole maternity leave, he’ll do it.”
