Last night, while Kate Middleton stepped out looking like a real-life princess in a sequined gown, Meghan Markle attended a lower key event. She and Prince Harry attended a Christmas carol service at St. Luke’s Church in London. This has turned into a tradition for Harry and raises money for the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund—a charity named for a late childhood friend of Prince Harry and Prince William who died in 2002.
Meghan read from the poem “Our Deepest Fear” by Marianne Williamson at the service, and then she and Harry left the building almost unrecognized:
They were joined by Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews who also attended the Service. Pippa channeled her bigger sister in a furry collar coat by French Connection and accessorized it with a crossbody bag, tights, and pumps.
This is color that is turning out to be a favorite among the royals. Just last week Kate stepped out in a holiday-ready Paule Ka blazer and skirt with a black turtleneck to wear for her event. She opted for a red jacket and skirt combo.
Earlier the same day Meghan wore a maroon coat with matching dress by Club Monaco and black stockings with black heels.
