Earlier today Meghan Markle made a first public visit to one of her new patronages, Smart Works, a charity helping long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain skills and confidence. For this engagement, Meghan looked stunning in business casual attire.

She wore an Oscar de la Renta tan trench coat and finished off her look with a Hatch black dress. She wore an old pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps which she previously posted about on Instagram. What interesting to see in her look is the Plexi style cow print heels, which are an unusual twist on Meghan’s new style, especially with their transparent PVC side panels. She had her hair up in a bun.

At the event the Duchess spoke to women there about the importance and power of donating clothes: “It’s not just donating your clothes and seeing where they land,” she said. “It’s really being part of each other’s success stories as women, right?”

“It’s not just hand me downs, it’s saying ‘okay, this is the blazer that I wore that helped me win that interview and I want this to be the piece that helps this woman have that part of her story,’” Meghan continued. The Duchess of Sussex also played stylist at the event, helping other women pick out outfits.
