It’s been a month since Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in two lavish wedding ceremonies, but new photos and details of her stunning wedding gown by Ralph Lauren keep surfacing and it is safe to say that we are completely obsessed!

Ralph was honored that Priyanka and Nick were married wearing custom Ralph Lauren at a wedding celebration in Jodhpur, India, on December 1, 2018. In fact, the fashion house dressed head to toe every single member from their two families! The bride’s gown combined the glamour of a sequin-embellished strapless dress with the romance of a sheer, hand-embroidered coat.

“This isn’t about a dress,” Mr. Lauren said. “It’s about a woman and a moment. Priyanka knows exactly who she is, and so I wanted the dress to reflect, not only her love story and the romance of India, but also her unique sensibility: strong, smart, and beautiful.”

Priyanka wore the custom-made hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot long trail during the Christian wedding, while Nick opted for a black suit by the same designer. Inside of the purple lapel of the tuxedo, he added a small piece of lace from the bride’s dress embroidered with the Urdu words “My Jaan” which translates to “My Life”, while she had beautifully embroidered “1st December” on her gown. “135 satin-covered buttons, 700 spools of ivory thread, 5,600 pearlized seed beads, 11,632 Swarovski crystals, 2,412,000 high-luster sequins,” reveals Ralph Lauren.

The making of the exquisite gown took a total of 1,826 hours to complete, according to the brand. The dress is hand-beaded and hand-embroidered and it features floral and scroll motifs, lace-effect tulle appliqués, scalloped sleeves, and a high-neck collar. Simply perfection!

Underneath her long-sleeve gown, Chopra wore a strapless column dress made up of 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins. She finished off her look with long tulle veil that reached 75 feet and custom Jimmy Choo shoes.

Chopra shared that working with the team at Ralph Lauren was very sentimental. “They’re so much a part of our love story for obvious reasons,” she said to People magazine.

“For the Western wedding, we had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers, but ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years — one for his daughter, his daughter in law, and his niece,” Chopra explains, adding, “I was blown away.”

Lauren began the months-long design process by showing Priyanka Chopra sketches for her custom gown, which combined the glamour of a sequin-embellished strapless dress with the romance of a sheer, hand-embroidered coat. The look was emblematic of some of the formalwear codes he has always highly regarded: a silhouette skimming the body while simultaneously seeming to float away from it; a play between sheer and opaque; and, of course, intricate, handmade details

When Ralph met with Priyanka to hand-deliver the sketch for the dress, she says it was love at first sight. “When we went in for the sketch presentation, they created exactly what I envisioned for myself on my wedding day… and I said, ‘Yes’ to the dress,” she recalls.

Priyanka’s stylist Mimi Cuttrell worked with Ralph Lauren’s team to make sure they bring Chopra’s vision to life. “I would not have changed a thing about this dress,” Cuttrell tells PEOPLE exclusively. “The Ralph Lauren team was an incredible team to work with. It was such a fun collaborative process between Priyanka, Ralph Lauren, and myself. Seeing this dress come to life and walk down the aisle… it still gives me chills! Priyanka was fully the inspiration behind this dress. Everything about it is true to who she is — a classic, elegant, beautiful, sophisticated woman.

During the reception, Priyanka changed into an archival gown from Ralph Lauren’s Great Gatsby–inspired Spring 2012 runway collection—a sleek column of ivory silk cady with a beaded halter neckline fringed with polished glass beads, Swarovski crystals, and sequins. The beading for the shoulders was made by hand on suspended mesh that was cut away to create glamourous swags.
