The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined The Queen and members of the ‪Royal family‬ at the Christmas morning service at St. Mary Magdalene, close to the Queen’s Sandringham estate. The royal tradition of attending the Christmas Day service at the local church “dates back to the 16th century” when Queen Victoria used to visit St. Mary Magdalene on December 25.

After the service the whole family went to the Queen’s estate in Sandringham, where they spend the rest of their day eating lunch which apparently “includes a salad with shrimp or lobster, and a roasted turkey, and all of your traditional side dishes like parsnips, carrots, Brussels sprouts and Christmas pudding with brandy butter for dessert”.

Despite all the rumors of a feud between them, Kate and Meghan looked the best of friends on their way to the service. They were photographed chatting and smiling as they were on their way to the church.

The mother of three looked festive in a berry-hued coat by Catherine Walker and a Jane Taylor halo band. She wore her trademark brunette tresses down and curled and opted for natural makeup.

While Meghan wore a navy dress, coat, and matching, feathered fascinator, as she linked arms with Prince Harry.

Kate and William’s children Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis appear to have skipped the event—as did Prince Philip, though Buckingham Palace said there’s no cause for concern!

As a second time being there, the new Duchess of Sussex showed that she has learned a lot – like mastering the perfect curtsy. Upon the Queen’s departure from the ceremony, Meghan was seen confidently bowing her head down, clasping her hands and lowering into the proper position.

Meghan is also expected to curtsy to Prince Philip, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Prince William and Kate, due to his position in line for the throne.

A family friend revealed to People magazine recently that Meghan and Kate are two “very different characters.” That’s why there have been rumors that there’s tension between the two. “Wives do change the dynamic, and [Harry and Prince William] both have very strong wives,” a palace insider told the magazine. “If you bring two independent-minded women from the real world into the royal world, they are going to want to have an impact.”

The insider confirmed to the magazine that there was, in fact, an issue between Kate and Meghan just days before Meghan and Harry’s wedding day in May. Several different sources confirmed that there was a lot of stress in the last days before the ceremony.

“There was an argument between Meghan and Kate over the fit of [3-year-old] Princess Charlotte‘s dress,” the source confirms. Another insider adds: “There were very few fittings for the bridesmaids. Everything was left to the last minute, and it was really stressful for everyone involved.” Kate was reportedly “left in tears” after the clash, although the exact reason is unknown.

“Some feathers need to be ruffled,” continued the source. Meghan’s alleged “diva behavior” has created chaos at the palace. Which is considered the reason why Meghan and Harry decided to move away from Kensington Palace. “The most difficult job in the royal family is to work with Meghan’s ambitions and make them realizable,” added another insider.

The royal insiders agree on one thing that the two Duchesses have in common, though, – their strength. “An ordinary woman is not going to get to become a princess. There is a necessary strength of character and ambition and single-mindedness. It takes someone really strong. That is Kate and Meghan,” the source said. Kate understands that better than anyone and according to reports, she is trying to do all she can to prove she is worthy of being the future Queen of England.

“There are those who are satisfied to turn up to get headlines and raise money, and there are those who want to get stuck in and make a difference. That is very much [Kate].” a family friend recently said. “If you’re looking for the causes of poverty, poor mental health, poor housing, and poor social care, the politics also have to be dealt with. So there might be bumpy times ahead for her.”

The friend added, “But she has given this everything she’s got and is determined to make it work. [Kate] would be the last person in the world to use the phrase Queen of Hearts but if the crown fits…”
